i have found out about my favourite animal there the falcon in the first article.now i have found more information on th second most favourite animal that lives there, the hawk!
what i have found:
it has a long tail for good turning in the air and also to up its altitude when in the air.
has large wingspan also to be able to recover from a dive to catch ts prey on its ground or leave the ground as fast as possible to quickly capture it again.
Some information i have found off the internet:
The Sharp-shinned Hawk (Accipiter striatus) is a small hawk. In fact, "sharp-shins" are the smallest to reside in USA and Canada, though some Neotropical species are smaller (notably the aptly named Tiny Hawk). The taxonomy is far from resolved, with some authorities considering the southern taxa three separate species: White-breasted Hawk (A. chionogaster), Plain-breasted Hawk (A. ventralis) and Rufous-thighed Hawk (A. erythronemius).
My Reflection on this animal:
i love this amazing animal i have seen it in action when i went to chek jawa during the holidays and it was hunting for fish.it missed but quickly caught it again with its talons sharp as knives.i truely think its a respectable yet vicious predator that keeps the ecosystem there in check especially on the pest population like the rats that terrorise homes for food in chek jawa.
